Context + Challenge

Current is Confluent’s flagship event, bringing together leaders across data streaming and AI technologies. As the event expanded globally, the absence of a unified system led to fragmentation across regions and formats. The challenge was to create a cohesive identity that could scale across environments while supporting a growing ecosystem of sub-events and programming.

Approach

The system was anchored in color and a distinct typographic expression, creating a recognizable visual foundation across all touchpoints. A flexible framework enabled city-specific expression while maintaining global consistency. This extended into on-site environments, where color also functioned as a tool for wayfinding—unifying digital, physical, and experiential layers into a cohesive system.

Execution

The system was applied across the full event experience, translating the brand into spatial, digital, and motion-based environments. From keynote stages and breakout sessions to signage and environmental graphics, the identity was executed consistently at scale. Motion and digital content extended the system across presentations and on-site screens.

Outcome

The system scaled across three global events, supporting a wide range of sub-events and programming. It enabled cross-functional teams to execute consistently across regions, establishing a unified brand experience and a foundation for future growth.
